Welcome to Canada-Africa Development and
Relief Agency (CADRA)
The humanitarian organization dedicated to long-term alleviation of abject poverty in Africa through development and emergency relief.
The Organization
CADRA is a united force dedicated to helping Africa's poorest communities solve their most threatening problems. The organization is a compassionate response of the Canadian people to human suffering in Africa.
CADRA serves to bring together the generosity of Canadians and others with the needs of Africa. It breathes life into Canada's imperative to pursue justice and helps Canadians act upon a deeply felt obligation to improve the chances for survival, economic independence and human dignity for people in Africa.
We help people in Africa to help themselves.
Our Key Partnerships
CADRA works in partnership with local grassroots non-governmental organizations [NGOs] engaged in:
- education
- community building
- health care
- agriculture reform and economic development
and initiates projects to alleviate poverty.
Emphasizing capacity building and partnerships, we work with many volunteers, community groups, and local and international organizations to reach out to those most in need in Africa. The inspiration for CADRA's work is drawn from the demand for social justice articulated by the Canadian tradition.
Your Donations
CADRA faithfully administers the funds that are received from the Canadian people and raised from other sources. It provides relief in times of disaster and promotes sustainable development by identifying and addressing the root causes of suffering and poverty.
CADRA cherishes its partnerships within Canada, with private and public bodies and with others who share a common vision for justice and peace among all people.
