General Donation

You can give a gift of any amount to help the poorest and neediest in Africa! Enter in the amount that's right for you and click the "donate now" button ($10 minimum donation, please).

Giving a gift where most needed is a great way to provide essential help to some of Africa's most vulnerable individuals and families.

Your gift to CADRA's general fund allows us to respond quickly to those suffering from the effects of war, famine, poverty and neglect. For example, a $30 donation can feed a child for a month. Please help us change the lives of people in need!

Is donating online safe?

Once you submit your details they are received and sent on in an encrypted format. No-one can access your credit card details on the Internet. This means that donating online is safer than giving your credit card to a waiter in a restaurant. This is how it works:

Once you have selected the "donate online" button (you may have already done this), your web browser will be connected directly to our secure server. You can see that the connection is secure by looking at the padlock or key icon in the bottom left hand corner of your browser. Your browser may also alert you to the fact that you are connecting to a secure server, and if so, it will also tell you when you are closing the secure connection once you have donated. This is for your information only.

How does it work exactly?

Our secure server communicates with your browser using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocols, so that all your personal information, including credit or debit card number, and your name and address, is encrypted. This process takes the words and figures you enter, and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet.

Once we have received the encrypted data, our secure server then encrypts your information farther, and sends it to your bank to be processed. At no time during the validation process is credit or debit card data sent over the public Internet. You will receive a receipt immediately after pressing the "Submit" button, if your donation has been accepted.

Still don't want to use your credit card on the Internet?

You can make your contribution by mail - - go to our convenient 'donate by mail' form. Just fill it out, print it and send it along with your cheque or credit card information to:
