Our Mission and Role
Canada-Africa Development and Relief Agency (CADRA) is a compassionate response of the Canadian people to human suffering in Africa. The organization serves to bring together the generosity of Canadians and others with the needs of Africa. We help people to help themselves. We work with local communities to provide medical assistance, nutrition, water and sanitation, and education. Emphasizing capacity building and partnerships, we work with many volunteers, community groups, and local and international organizations to reach out to those most in need in Africa.
Where does our funding come from and where does it go?
CADRA faithfully administers the funds that are received from the Canadian people and raised from other sources.
It provides:
- relief in times of disaster
- promotes sustainable development
- identifies and addresses the root causes of poverty and suffering.
CADRA cherishes its partnerships within Canada, with private and public bodies and with others who share a common vision for justice and peace among people.
