Raise awareness and help overcome poverty in Africa by doing a special project fundraiser
Special Project Fundraisers
CADRA's programs are supported in part by groups and individuals who sponsor fundraising projects or special events. Businesses, church groups, clubs, schools, communities and individuals have all helped people in need in Africa by sponsoring a Special Project. These projects are a fun and fulfilling way to become involved, and can benefit any of CADRA's programs.

Guidelines & Standards
Before starting the new Special Project, you will need to review Guidelines & Standards. These simple guidelines will help outline specific types of projects that are not allowed. All Special Projects must comply with the Guidelines & Standards.Step-by-Step Process
Here is a step-by-step guide to walk you through the process of starting a Special Project:
- Step 1 -Decide
The first step in coordinating a fun and creative Special Project is to decide which type of project or event would work best for you or your group. This is decided based on your available resources and the goal you set for your Special Project. - Step 2 - Apply
The next step is to fill out and mailing or faxing in a Special Project Application form. This application form must be approved by the Special Projects Department at CADRA before you can start your Special Project. Submitting this form also indicates that you have read and will comply with the Special Projects Guidelines & Standards. - Step 3 - Details
Once your Special Project has been approved, you may finalize the details or your project. This is the time to get all of the details in order to ensure that your Special Project runs smoothly. You will be assigned a CADRA Project Manager to help you with this project. - Step 4 - Publicize
After you have all of the details arranged, you can begin informing people about your Special Project. There are several ways you can share your Special Project with the people in your community, including informing local newspapers and television stations. Your Special Projects Manager at CADRA also has brochures on CADRA available for use, or you can design a flyer on your Special Project to pass out to prospective participants. Please refer to the Guidelines & Standards when creating written materials. Anything designed must be approved by your Special Projects Manager before use. - Step 5 - Special Project
At this point, you coordinate the event you have planned. This is when your hard work and planning pay off as you carry out your Special Project and work toward achieving the goals of your project. - Step 6 - Funds
After your Special Project is completed, you must send the money raised to CADRA. To ensure that your project gets full credit for every donation, please put your Project Code on each cheque and put the name of your Special Project Manager on each envelope you send. - Step 7 - Follow
Inform everyone who participated in your Special Project of the final outcome, telling everyone the results of all your hard work and share with them what was accomplished. Congratulations to everyone!
